Corporate Finance and Company Valuation
The first part of this course focuses on measuring financial performance, which involves value creation concepts, measures and implementation. A framework for financial analysis and planning is presented, including project valuation techniques. Traditional and modern financial structures are discussed and a number of cases are analysed.
The second part of the course deals with corporate valuation and financial policy. Various types of valuation methodology, based on both comparables and analytics, are discussed and applied to a series of specific examples. The complementarities within various types of approaches are underlined. The impact of financial decisions (leverage, dividend policy, share repurchases) on the value of a corporation is also analysed and discussed.
