Corporate Governance and Legal Environment
This course presents a conceptual framework for the analysis of Corporate Governance. Included in the analysis is the role of different stakeholders, shareholders, owners, the board, banks, capital markets. Company law and general legislation is also described. Different Western governance models are described including the Anglo-American model and the German-Japanese model. OECD-principles for good corporate governance are presented and the current status of corporate governance in Lithuania is discussed.
