Diploma Paper

The Diploma Paper is a key element of the International EMBA Programme. The purpose of a Diploma Paper is to build on current managerial or economic theory and methodology in order to solve a specific or generic management dilemma faced by a company, an industry, a region or an institution.

At BMI, the research for a participant's Diploma Paper starts in Stage 3 and continues through Stages 4 and 5. At the beginning of the process, every participant receives academic advice from professors who coordinate the development of the Diploma Paper. In later stages, each student has access to a Vytautas Magnus University Economics and Management Faculty professor who provides individual consultations. The timetable of such consultations is arranged on an individual basis between the participant and the professor. The academic advisor assesses the Diploma Paper and recommends it for the final defence.

The Diploma Paper Evaluation Committee, consisting of representatives of the Partner Schools, the Chairman of the BMI International Academic Council, BMI, and representatives of BMI's Corporate Sponsor companies, assesses the final report and defence of the Diploma Paper.
