Global Economic Environment

The course provides a conceptual framework for understanding international economy from a managerial point of view. While studying national and global economic activity, the course focuses on interaction of fiscal and monetary policies with private sector and international forces. Topics covered include measuring levels of production, employment, inflation, developments in the capital market, the role of foreign trade and exchange rates, and the role of macroeconomic policy.
