Association of HR Professionals and BMI Hold Joint Leadership Training
1.4.2010
About 200 high-level managers attended a training session titled “Leading to Win in Times of Uncertainty” which was organized jointly on Wednesday by Lithuania’s Association of HR Professionals and the Baltic Management Institute.
The presentation was led by international executive trainer and author Mr. Stephen Neale, who lectures in the BMI International Executive MBA programme and is Managing Director of bcs, with clients including GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Volvo, IKEA, Danske bank, SEB, Statoil, Pfizer and others.
The lively session focused on every manager’s key task of inspiring, encouraging and motivating employees in order to boost productivity. The boss needs to recognize each person’s unique traits and talents, sincerely respect them, and constantly show and tell that care and respect.
Mr. Neale also stressed that the most successful companies are driven not by an abstract desire to earn money, but by an inspiring idea, which the manager needs to keep in focus and keep in the minds of employees.
