More than 150 high-level managers attended an Emotional Intelligence and Coaching training session organized jointly on Thursday by Lithuania’s Association of HR Professionals and the Baltic Management Institute.
The session was led by international executive trainer and author Mr. Stephen Neale, who lectures in the BMI International Executive MBA programme and is Managing Director of bcs, with clients including GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Volvo, IKEA, Danske bank, SEB, Statoil, Pfizer and others.
BMI Director General Jaunius Pusvaškis made the following introductory remarks:
“Your interest in the topic and today’s event clearly indicates that cutting edge practical knowledge and experience are essential for executives and companies to succeed. For the last 10 years BMI in partnership with its European consortium of schools has been bringing best international business management practice to the region. I hope that this lecture will provide you with fruitful insights to turn your ceilings into solid floors that secure your personal growth as leaders.”
During the event, Mr Neale used scientific and business evidence to help participants better understand and experience how Emotional Intelligence plays a vital role in all aspects of performance, motivation and business success, examining the differences between a logic-based approach to human resource management and an emotion-based HR.
