BMI Graduates R.Valiūnas and A.Saladžienė are Inducted into Business Hall of Fame

21.1.2010

Two of the three Lithuanian business leaders welcomed into the Business Hall of Fame this week are alumni of the BMI International Executive MBA programme. Rolandas Valiūnas, who graduated in 2000, and Arminta Saladžienė, who completed mangement studies at BMI in 2009, were inducted into the Business Hall of Fame by Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė in a ceremony on January 20.

“BMI is proud of the major contribution that its alumni and students continue making to economic development and growth in the Baltic region,” BMI Director General Jaunius Pusvaškis said. “And I must add that BMI is also very thankful to these two outstanding leaders for their contributions to the institution, both as students and alumni.”

Rolandas Valiūnas is Managing Partner at the law firm Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiunas ir partneriai LAWIN. He is also currently the Chairman of the Governing Board of BMI.

Arminta Saladžienė is Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX, Lithuania, and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the newly established Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance.

They join three other BMI EMBA graduates in the Business Hall of Fame: Arūnas Bartusevičius was inducted in 2000, Tomas Kučinskas in 2002, and Kęstutis Šerpytis in 2007.

The Business Hall of Fame has been organized in Lithuania since 1999 by Junior Achievement to recognize those persons whose innovative and relentless work has contributed most significantly to the development of a free market economy and the welfare of society at large.
