Alumni Launch Business Leaders Club in Minsk
26.8.2010
The new Belarus Business Leaders Club (BLC), created by several BMI EMBA alumni, held its first meeting on August 24. Two dozen local and international executives attended the start-up event in Minsk, which featured presentations, discussion and individual networking.
“Participants’ enthusiastic reactions show that English-speaking business managers in Belarus are hungry for such opportunities to expand their personal networks, share experience and learn out about options for further professional development,” said organiser Maxim Viatkin, a BMI student-executive who is Real Estate Manager at McDonald's Belarus.
The highlight of the evening was a lecture by Mr Paulius Kibiša, an experienced executive who is currently CEO of Alita Group, the largest Lithuanian alcoholic beverages producer. He shared his keen insights on the topic of “Change Management and Leadership”. Before that, the founders of the club discussed the value of networking and lifelong learning, and BMI Director General Jaunius Pusvaškis outlined the business logic behind high-level management education and the options available in the Baltic region.
