The glamour and glitter of Hollywood has come to BMI as EMBA Class VIII students compete for prestigious awards at the first ever BMI Film Festival.

 

International business leaders from the BMI Alumni Association today announced their nominations for Best Movie and Best Actor/Actress of the year. The favourites, produced and directed entirely by BMI students, include “Scary Movie VIII”, “Blair Witch Project”, “Star Wars”, “Full Monty” and “Wild Orchid”.

 

Final voting and the awards ceremony will take place this Friday, Jan. 18, after a full screening of the varied genre films at the Skalvija cinema, beginning at 7 p.m. The unique event, which is the christening party of BMI EMBA Class VIII, will be hosted by the well-known Lithuanian designer Mr. Image, together with the graceful Miss'ing BMI of beauty contest fame.

 

As our new movie stars celebrate their achievements, they will roll out the red carpet for their guests, who will also be entertained by a number of international musical celebrities.

 

All BMI graduates and students are warmly invited to this once-a-year chance to mingle with our best and brightest EMBA stars. The ticket price for guests is 100 Lt, payable at the door or by prior transfer to the BMI Alumni Association.

 

LOCATION: the Skalvija cinema hall, Goštauto 2/15

 

TIME: Friday, January 18, 2008. The door opens at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. on the dot. The awards ceremony will end by 10 p.m., followed by an after-party at the Briusly bar in the Skalvija building.
