Corporate Valuation Seminar Led by Prof. A. Hyafil
3.4.2008
On April 1-2, BMI organised an Executive Education seminar entitled “CORPORATE VALUATION“, led by Prof. Antoine Hyafil, the long-time Dean of the Faculty of Finance at HEC School of Management in Paris, France‘s leading “Ivy League” business school, and a lecturer in the BMI Executive MBA Programme.
The BMI open seminar, attended by more than 50 mostly top and senior-level managers,
focused on strategies for unlocking the company-valuation toolbox for use in IPO decisions, portfolio investments and merger-and-acquisition deals.
“Using corporate value calculations for good business decisions is an art, which demands knowing your own position and how markets work,” Prof. Hyafil noted. He combined a presentation of the most useful valuation techniques and consideration of how to apply their results, with practical exercises related to real-life business cases.
The participating business leaders actively discussed their own experiences in the field, both among themselves and with Prof. Hyafil, who draws on first-hand experience from his work at the First National Bank of Chicago and Merrill Lynch Investment Banking, as well as from extensive consulting work around the world.
